PRINCE, AL GREEN, GRATEFUL DEAD AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN
It's been said that Trainwreck lives in the past but there's a reason for that. You're not going to find Three Doors Down or No Doubt in the mix. Although there is no tune that wouldn't be pulled from the songbook of the ages, Trainwreck has a propensity to lean heavily on the 70's, Considerable attention is paid to funk and R & B, while forays into reggae and disco-ish tunes are always on the horizon. Homage is paid when called for to greats like The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, Parliament Funkadelic, Issac Hayes, Muddy Waters, Teddy Pendergrass...
Aside from charming and handsome, Trainwreck is just plain funny. The good humor is as infectious as the groove. It would be unusual an evening go by without entertaining banter between the band and friends along with people dancing in the middle of the set up. Each member of Trainwreck brings their love, devotion and very creative stylings to each song presented which make them club favorItes around New York. This is one extraordinay "in the moment" feel band. If you're at a performance and there is a song you want to hear, as long as one of the band knows it, they'll give it a whirl...always to the crowds delight...well, it's happened.
